It was 2 a.m., and rain poured heavily outside. Aarvii Kashyap was lying on her bed, staring at her phone in the dimly lit dorm room.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. She got up and opened it, only to find her lovely and chaotic best friend, Archithaa Iyer.
Archithaa walked towards Aarvii's bed, slid beside her, and hugged her tightly.
"Archi, why are you here?" Aarvii asked.
"I can't sleep," Archithaa replied.
Aarvii sighed. She already knew the reason. Tomorrow was the first day of college, and as always, Archithaa was stressed . Aarvii knew exactly how sensitive Archithaa was. Despite coming from an extremely wealthy family, Archithaa had suffered emotionally since childhood. Her parents often looked down on her while showering her younger brother with affection and attention.
Because of that, Archithaa learned to hide her emotions behind a strong facade. She struggled with insomnia, had a quick temper, and carried a chaotic energy that somehow made her even more beautiful. Yet beneath all that fire was a girl who only wanted to be understood.
Aarvii knew how to handle Archithaa better than anyone. After all, they had been childhood best friends for years. Kind, soft-spoken, and sweet, Aarvii balanced Archithaa perfectly. Where Archithaa was a storm, Aarvii was the calm that followed. Together, they complemented each other effortlessly.
Both girls were naturally beautiful in their own ways.
Aarvii had silky straight hair and mesmerizing hazel eyes that made people lose themselves in her gaze. She loved late-night drives, secretly wrote poems and little notes, preferred coffee over tea, and kept tiny sentimental items that held special memories. She always appeared strong, yet cried quietly when no one was watching. Rainy days and carefully curated playlists for every mood were her comfort.
Archithaa, on the other hand, had honey-brown eyes that easily captured attention. Her medium-length wavy brown hair shimmered golden under sunlight, making her look almost unreal. She loved bold fashion, had a sharp sarcastic sense of humor, and was fiercely competitive. Spicy food was her weakness,
Back to the scene....
Aarvii gently hugged Archithaa, trying to comfort her.
"Archii, don't be sad. What if we go to the convenience store?" she asked with a smile.
Archithaa immediately sat up and nodded her head.
The two girls got ready and stepped out into the rain, sharing an umbrella. Holding hands, they walked down the street with bright smiles on their faces.
"Hehehe..."
Their laughter filled the air as they joked around with each other.
When they reached the convenience store, they bought ice cream and some noodles. Of course, they couldn't leave without taking a dozen photos together.
Archithaa grinned and wrapped an arm around Aarvii.
"Baby Aarvii, you're the best! Hehehe... love youuu!"
Aarvii smiled warmly and hugged her back.
After returning home, the two best friends fell asleep cuddled up together.
Little did they know...
The next morning would bring absolute chaos.
